AboutMe

I am a writer; teacher; film producer, director and editor (I know Final Cut Pro); as well as a hobbyist fashion designer based in Phoenix, Ariz. I come from a background in writing and editing for print publications. Between the years of 2005 and 2010, I lived in New York City and worked as a Freelance Production Assistant, Runner, Associate Producer (News 12 Connecticut) and Fixer.

I completed an MFA in Creative Writing with a Nonfiction emphasis at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont in 2007. One of my unpublished novels is on file in the Goddard library.

In 2010, I completed an MA in Media Studies at The New School in New York City, where I specialized in documentary production and editing, as well as radio production (for web-streaming radio).

As a writer, I have had several poems, short stories and novel excerpts published in literary magazines such as Pitkin in Progress, Cream City Review, Vamp! 'Zine (Tokyo) and one of my poems was featured on Seattle City buses circa 2002-2003.

My documentary and short art films have screened at FilmBar in Phoenix, Arizona; Eye Lounge Collective in Phoenix; The New School in New York City; Z-Bar in Berlin, Germany; and the 92nd Street YMCA in New York City.

I currently teach college-level writing courses full-time and write features for JAVA Magazine in Phoenix.
